During my recent business trip to Tangier, I had the pleasure of staying at the Hotel Mauritania, which is perfectly nestled in the vibrant heart of the Old Medina. The hotel’s prime location made it an exceptional base for exploring local treasures like the American Legation Museum and the Kasbah Museum—both just a short walk away. From the moment I arrived, Mohamed and the rest of the staff were incredibly attentive and welcoming, always ready to assist, which truly enhanced my overall experience. The spacious room offered a lovely balcony overlooking the lively square below, where I was often treated to free entertainment from talented local performers. While the hotel could invest in additional amenities like breakfast options or organized excursions, the cozy atmosphere and rich cultural experiences right outside my door more than made up for it. If you're looking for a stay that combines comfort with an authentic taste of Moroccan life, Hotel Mauritania is a delightful choice.
